Rose Island Yacht Club

Welcome to the Rose Island Yacht Club

Located in Prospect, Kentucky at Ohio River mile 589.8, the Rose Island Yacht Club offers members a protected marina with scenic views of the river. The marina features some 144 boat slips, which are deeded to their owners. The club is managed by a board of directors, and features a full-time harbormaster. The marina features a pool and a clubhouse, which are available to slip owners. Security is provided to members by means of gated entry, security cameras and watchful boatowners. Individual slips provide hookups for electricity, water, cable and phone. Carts are provided to assist members in provisioning their boats, and a dumpster is provided for trash disposal after your weekend on the water.

Harvey's on the Water, d.b.a. Rose Island Yacht Club was founded in 1989 by William Harvey. The club is named after the Rose Island Amusement Park, which was located across the river at the peninsula at 14-Mile Creek. This amusement park was operational between 1923 and the flood of 1937, and served as a great place for Louisville residents to access by ferry boat for recreation.
