Member Information
The following information was condensed from our club news e-mail "Marina Notes," which is distributed by William Glass. Club members who would like to receive "Marina Notes" should contact Danny Hicks, Harbormaster, with your current e-mail address using the "Contact" link at the bottom of the page. Please note that the "Marina Notes" publication will contain more detailed information due to its limited distribution.
Shrink-Wrap
Soon the razor knifes come out and the wrap comes off. Please, Please, Please, cut it up into small pieces and roll it into small rolls and tie it tight using the webbing. Stack it next to the dumpsters so Danny can feed it in as needed. If using a company to remove the wrap please instruct them to do the same.
Dock Water
The city water connection from the bank to the dock can't
be made in high water. So thinking ahead Danny got us hooked up just
before this last flood.
That means dock water is on. Just take note, it may be shut off from
time to time for repair if a leak is found.
Special No-Wake Anchorage
The effort to make the Kentucky side of 12 Mile Island "NO WAKE" is getting closer. Please click the link below for information on the NO WAKE zone and how you can help. (link)
Our Local No Wake Zone
Several have been working on getting a No Wake zone established around Heather's, Cutter's Wharf, and the entrance of our marina. It has been approved by Kentucky Fish & Wildlife however they will not enforce it and will even withdraw it if buoys aren't installed. This is a very congested area with many near misses. Add to that the wear and tear on Heather's, The $180k fire boat along with our dock structures and banks. Does anyone have a set of about 4 no wake buoys in their garage?
Multiple Boats In Slips
Back when the marina was started PWCs and tenders weren't the norm. Now many of you have them and voted to change the Bylaws to allow them. The vote passed; please see the bylaw changes that you received in the mail for more information.
